Calais released a technology preview of Calais 3.0 for testing and feedback today that we are eager to play with. It includes a mix of interesting new things for us.

More than just a passing fad, the 'semantic web' is referenced more and more. Today I stumbled across a site that employs some interesting semantic techniques to provide free access to global health information in a widely recognized visual format: Google maps!

We have been messing around with a new technology lately called Apture that provides a very cool way for content publishers to contextually link terms in their content to related rich media items in a clever way. With just one line of code placed on the page, publishers and bloggers can quickly and easily turn flat pages of text into a compelling multimedia experience by providing pop up supplemental references.
